Unprotected MP3s will be very popoular. But how a company would make money out of it remains an unanswered question.

i ordered one audiobook from audible, it was protected and didn't copy to my ipod successfully. it just didn't work. i gave up because honestly, how much time can i waste screwing around with a $20 audiobook? (answer: exactly no time) I won't ever go back until they stop using protection and just let me download an MP3. I went back to buying cds and ripping them. At least I know it will work and the frustration level will be 0.
